Presentation
A special knife is used to cut Grana Padano.
Grana Padano should be presented on a wooden, wicker, stone or ceramic tray covered with a cotton or straw cloth; Grana Padano should never be served on a metal dish.
For the best results with cold dishes such as raw or cooked meats, or with egg, a special Grana cutter can be used to cut the cheese into "petals". Grana Padano should be used sparingly on dishes so as not to muffle their distinctive flavours.
The grater is a symbol of Italy's culinary tradition as it is used to dust risottos, pasta and vegetables au gratin with mature Grana Padano, enhancing them with its unmistakable flavour.
